I’ve had this case on my phone for a month. Nowhere or tear so far. Good quality zipper, works smoothly. Hooks for strap are good quality. I wouldn’t put more than one card per slot, to not stretch the slots. So I would say it holds six standard thickness cards.

My mom has been having memory issues where she will leave her purse places without even noticing. She is in her 80s so ..it happens, but I wanted to make sure that she always has her phone just in case she wanders off and gets lost. She's been loving this purchase because it is less likely she will take this off her neck and leave it in a store than if she were to put her phone in a purse.
